Bakuchiol is a plant-based active ingredient derived from the seeds of the Babchi plant (Psoralea corylifolia) and is now considered one of the best-known natural alternatives to retinol. Although Bakuchiol itself is not a retinoid and is structurally unrelated to retinol, it addresses key processes in modern Slow Aging skincare: it supports collagen production, skin structure and regeneration while also providing antioxidant properties. HOW DOES BAKUCHIOL WORK ON THE SKIN?
